Capacity Release

Capacity Release is a process that allows a natural gas pipeline customer holding firm transportation capacity to temporarily assign or release all or a portion of that unused capacity to another qualified customer. This enables the releasing shipper to maximize the value of its contracted capacity when it is not needed. Capacity release transactions are conducted in accordance with FERC regulations and pipeline tariff requirements, helping promote efficient use of pipeline capacity and increased market flexibility. The enclosed content will guide you through all steps of the capacity release process.
